Please note that whilst every effort is made to cater for inclementand wet weather, we will definitely cancel in the interests of Public Safety if strong winds are forecast for the day.
Lions Anzac Day Breakfast (Annual event)
In co-operation with the Anzac Day Comittee of Buderim we hold a breakfast at the Middies shopping centre on Anzac Day. The breakfast is available immediately after the Dawn Service and is available until after the Anzac Day Parade. All welcome.
Lions and Craft Cottage Fairs (Annual events)
These are held each Christmas and Easter at the BWMCA Hall in Buderim. The Craft cottage and others display their wares for sale. Lions provide facilities for stall holders and a sausage sizzle for patrons. The easter Fair is held on easter Saturday whilst the Christmas Fair is usually held on the last Saturday of November. When dates are vavailable they will show on our Calendar.
Oktoberfest (Alternate years from 2013)
Our inaugural Oktoberfest Celebration will be held in 2014. Details will be posted soon.
Lions Australia Day Bush Breakfast.(Annual event)
Held on Australia Day, catered by Buderim Lions, and supported by musical entertainment. The breakfast is held at the Middy’s complex at Buderim in the forecourt. This event is run by the Australia Day committee and is 12 month in the planning by volunteers.
Lions Long table Charity Breakfast.
This event is a fund raiser for the activies of Buderim Lions and it’s focus Charities.Next event to be advised.
Community Street Party.
This party has enjoyed huge success in the past. It is run by combined community groups (e.g. Lions, Rotary, etc) and is continually being improved so that the whole community can enjoy.
This year (2014) will see separate venues to cater for young children, school age children, teenagers, families, and ou rvaluable older generation. Each will have their own style of entetainment to enjoy, but anyone can go to any venue to enjoy the offerings. Food stalls will be available on the day as well as some local businesses being open. The event will be held Saturday 16 August 2014.
Anyone wishing to help organise any of these events should us our contacts. We can use persons with (but not limited to) management, media, OHS, Govt, IT, printing, secretarial experience etc. Or even. just for FUN.
